Located in Winchester, Virginia, The Alson H. Smith Jr. Agricultural Research and Extension Center serves Virginia’s commercial fruit and value-added, horticultural food crops industries through research, educational programs, development of sustainable production systems and technologies, and increased public knowledge of horticultural opportunities and benefits.

Located in Leesburg, Virginia, the Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center offers advanced specialty care, 24-hour emergency treatment, and diagnostic services for all ages and breeds of horses, the center's team of equine specialists in internal medicine, reproduction, sports medicine and rehabilitation, and surgery is committed to providing treatment for patients; service to clients; education for referring veterinarians, future veterinarians, and clients; and research to the equine industry.
